Adult Dog Rescue and Placement
Riley
has a new home!
We thank the
many folks who inquired about Riley for their
interest in this rescue, and we're pleased to announce that she now has a
loving new home. Below are photos of Riley settled in at her new
home.
Riley (Redloch’s Riley Mave McGhee) came back to
Redloch Kennel in late June 2010
at about 3-1/2 years of age when her then loving owners had an elderly parent move in with them and
then the lady of the house had back surgery and could not
physically care for both the elderly parent and Riley. So she
contacted Redloch and we took Riley
back under our agreement. Now, an active, attractive, spayed 4-1/2 year
old female with good house manners, leash trained, crate trained,
and with some obedience training, we felt Riley was bested suited
in a home where she is the only pet – she
really likes her individual attention. As you can see from the
photos above, Riley has now found a very good new home! Her new
owner, Nick Johnson, writes:
"Riley
is adjusting so well. We couldn't be happier. I was
worried that little Riley would get here and be upset by the
move and unsure of her new situation, but nothing could be
farther from the truth. She's chipper and playful, romping
around the house with a toy in her mouth. Sniffing every
square inch of the backyard. She's given us all kisses and
has shown her mischievous side by sneaking up on to the couch
and such."

From time to time, Redloch Kennel has adult Irish
Terriers dogs needing new homes. Typically, they are youths who have
been kept for show training, retired show dogs, or adult dog rescues
from our own breeding where the owners can no longer keep them for
one reason or another. When we have "older than puppy" Irish
Terriers available for placement, we will provide a description of
the dog and its needs on
this page.
Check our Irish Terrier
puppies page for puppies available to first
homes. |
From time to time, the Irish Terrier Club of America's
rescue
organization has Irish Terriers available for placement. ITCA Contact Rescue Chairperson:

The Irish Terrier Rescue Organization website for North American -- Canada and the United States --
occasionally has Irish Terriers who need new homes. If you're open
to another breed, this website has an
extensive list of rescue and adoption resources. You can

Jack Has Been
Placed!
Redloch's
Jumping Jack Flash, a.k.a. Jack, has a new home. Jack earned show credentials (Best of
Breed at Conroe Kennel Club) before being seriously
injured. He has since made a full recovery, was
adopted into a loving home, and recently served as the "best dog" at
his new owners April 2006 wedding.
